Tell your “story” using a variety of materials and mark-making techniques, and then appliqué your pieces onto a strip of canvas, which then gets attached to a vintage wooden spool. This delightful scroll will wrap around the spool and secure with ribbon.

Explore free-motion machine and hand-sewing, stitching through assorted papers, fabric painting.  Your images might follow a theme to tell a story but they need not be related. They can be a collection of interesting, unrelated, images and patterns stitched together. Think of this as a long, thin collage, wrapped up tightly and then unwound to be seen in a sweeping, panoramic view.
